The Spring/Summer 2011 collections are all about the Chinese/Japanese/Korean influence with bright colored silk, floral embroidered satins, frog closures, and traditional Chinese silhouettes. Designers such as John Galliano and Louis Vuitton were higly influenced by the Far East. Encorporate this season's must-have into your wardrobe by acessorising with different colored tassels, obi belts and floral embroidery. I just added a new pair of gorgeous, golden embroided, kitten heels to my wardrobe which I got from my mother as a gift from her visit to Australia recently...

The Perfect day
With some of my closest friends getting married, another getting engaged and finding myself being totally inlove, I can't help but imagine what my wedding day would be like someday. It is that one thing that every girl dream of since the days of playing dress-up in mommy's vintage wedding-gown. I find myself looking through wedding magazines in stores and even buying one every now and then, till this weekend when I came across this amazing vintage website with incredible ideas for that perfect wedding. These pictures are ideas that were always just visions in my mind, but are now captured in photos of real people's "one-of-a-kind" wedding day. Though I know there are still so much I want to do before I would even consider getting married, it still remains a wonderful feeling to have such a day somewhere in the future to look forward to...

Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 Collection
I mentioned Louis Vuitton's inspiring 50's Collection in my previous post "Vintage Shoot". Those of you who haven't seen it, be prepared to "Fall" inlove...
Vintage Shoot
When I was only a little girl I played dress up in my grandmother's closet, "treasure hunting" for one-of-a-kind dresses, shoes, hats and gloves. This is where my love for all things vintage began. I just love old, gorgeous pieces from era's way before my time and find myself loving the 50's fashion most of all. The ballerina dresses, high-waisted full skirts that reaches below the knee, bustiers and gorgeous lace and leather gloves in all colours. With Louis Vuitton's latest collection the 50's have definitely made a huge comeback and boy am I glad! Now I can relive my childhood fantasy of actually living in that era, but only in 2011! I came across this amazing photoshoot that were done by a very creative blogger that shares the same passion for her grandmother's house and clothes than I do. These shots were taken in her grandmother's house...

Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbooks
RACHEL ANTONOFF:
I am head-over-heels in LoVe with this collection! I would seriously wear every single piece and the entire shoot's got such a fun concept. Love it, love it, LOVE it!
On a fashion perspective are there definitely no hot season without dresses, skirts and shorts and the Rachel Antonoff Spring/Summer 2011 collection just offers it all. Silk shorts with heart-shaped pocket detail, tailored buttoned-up tops and cotton voile dresses really take me back in time to the magical world of being a child where light, soft colors reflects purity and sweetness.
Get ready to revive those whimsical years when clothes were the reflection of an innocent age. Besides the atmosphere of a typical teen bedroom, a collection of "Babysitters Club" books, old records, toysand band instruments represent elements that flawlessly complete this childhood diary of style.
"The collection draws its inspiration from a teen's dream bedroom. The shooting took place in the house in which Rachel grew up and it was made by photographer Lindsey Byrnes. Her brother, Jack, took care of the prop styling, mixing different pieces, some of them being new, others from her childhood, such as "Babysitters Club" books, musical instruments, or records. However, the starlet in the lookbook seems to be a sweet kitten that is featured on every page of this diary."
"Speaking about this unique approach of a lookbook and about the character that spiced up the shooting, Rachel said that "I really like how the kitten is in every shot but often lost amongst the stuffed animals. If you have the opportunity to work with a kitten, I highly recommend it. I think the shoot probably took twice as long because of all the kitten playing breaks we took!"

Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbooks
It's always so exciting to see the new season's latest designer Lookbooks. This morning I had a look at Bershka, Versace, Top Shop and Rachel Antonoff's Lookbooks. And I must say, as a designer, I was really inspired and excited by all the collections. There were definitely a few pieces that I would just love to have in my wardrobe!
BERSHKA:
The Bershka spring/summer 2011 collection includes utterly wearable, timeless and laid-back items drawing their inspiration from different sources. Using polka dots, high-waisted shorts, two-piece bathing suits, and oversized sunglasses, the new line manages to revive the '50s vibe. Besides, the chic and fun attitude of the Parisian style, with a modern twist, is shown through the typically French patterns and colors, such as stripes, dots, but also red and blue shades, capturing the essence of Parisian sophistication
